Multi-level deck reconstruction is one of our specialties. Installation or reconstruction of your deck could include the following steps:
Demo and remove existing 1st and 2nd floor decks, posts, rails, columns. Existing roof and brick front porch structures to remain
Frame 1st floor deck with 2x ACQ(PT) to appropriate height. Install rubber waterproofing onto frame. Joists to be 12” o/c to accommodate composite deckboards
Install new PVC columns at front corners and top of steps to receive new 2nd floor frame
Construct 2nd floor deck frame with 2x8 ACQ(PT) 12” o/c to accommodate new composite deckboards
Joist hangers installed as per code with angle irons at house wall
Install rubber waterproofing onto frame. Outside double 2x8 to be bolted to house with 6”x3/8” bolts, 2/ft staggered
Install new white PVC columns at front corners to meet and support upper roof structure
Install new composite deckboards onto each deck frame
Install new PVC rail sections with one added posts. Added post to receive white PVC sleeve and cap
White AZAC trim to be installed on all visible 2x frame sections
Install new white aluminum gutter and downspout sections continuing down from existing roof structure gutters to bottom of 1st floor in replica of original route
Install wood tongue and groove ceiling under 2nd floor deck with moldings, paint
