In March 2023, a deck located at a residence in Jamaica Plain, MA, underwent a complete rebuild. The existing deck had suffered from extensive wood rot, which required a full removal of all damaged materials. The reconstruction began with the replacement of the deck’s structural components, using durable pressure-treated wood to ensure longevity and resistance to future damage.
The new deck surface was constructed using Trex composite decking, known for its low-maintenance, weather-resistant properties, and appealing modern look. This upgrade not only improved the deck’s functionality but also enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the home.
For the finishing touches, a new wooden handrail, posts, and balusters were installed, providing both safety and a classic visual element. The handrails and posts were carefully crafted to complement the existing architectural style of the house, offering a cohesive look.
The rebuild transformed a deteriorating structure into a sturdy, attractive outdoor space, ready to be enjoyed for years to come.
